Go Pink with Northwell Health
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in women in the U.S. So join Northwell this October to take a stand against breast cancer. Raise awareness. Raise health. Raise hope.

What is Go Pink?

This annual health campaign helps to increase awareness of breast cancer and raise funds for prevention, diagnosis and treatment, as well as for research into its cause—and a cure. Northwell, through the Cancer Institute, Imaging and the Katz Institute for Women's Health, partners with the American Cancer Society to raise awareness and empower women with knowledge on the prevention, recognition and treatment of breast cancer.

During October, Northwell Health is hosting a number of events in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Register for an event below. And join Northwell Health on National Mammography Day, Friday, October 18, by wearing your pink with pride!

Northwell Health is also sponsoring Paint Port Pink in Port Jefferson and Pink by the Bay on Main Street from East Islip through Babylon. These monthlong initiatives encourage businesses to light and decorate their storefronts pink as well as offer customers educational literature about breast cancer prevention and detection. For more information on Pink by the Bay, please call Community Relations at (631) 396-6700.

In addition, Northwell Health is involved in the American Cancer Society initiative Making Strides. For more than two decades, the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer movement has funded breakthrough research, 24/7 support for cancer patients, and access to lifesaving screenings. By uniting our communities, we can raise awareness about steps we can take to reduce the risk of getting breast cancer.
